Today is Christmas the traditional day for gift giving and at tellthetruthonthem.com we like to leave some “wish gifts” under our mythical tree for a handful of progressives. In no particular order here is this year’s assortment.

Nancy Pelosi – Someone to groom and mentor as the next Speaker of the House.

Chuck Schumer – The patience of a saint and infinite wisdom to deal with the evil master of the Senate from Kentucky.

Andrew Gillum – A place to use his talents for more than just Tallahassee, Florida.

Ta-Nehisi Coates – A new book. He is simply too talented and insightful of a writer and thinker to stay out of long form for an extended period.

Ashley Parker – A story that she can turn into an individual Pulitzer. (She already has a “team effort” one.)

Kate Brown – Some national recognition for the great job she is doing as Governor of Oregon. She could be the best governor that almost nobody has heard of.

Eugene Robinson – A sincere thank you. What do you get a man who has already accomplished everything?

Ruth Bader Ginsburg – Good health; America needs her now more than ever!

Jane Mayer – Another courageous and fantastic book.

That’s it. Now back to opening presents and assembling toys.
