The timestamp was necessary because of the opening comments with the main message to follow.

The news just broke that the House has approved a continuing resolution to keep the government open for 45 days beyond midnight. The CR allows for domestic disaster aid but not for the replenishment of armaments the American military has given to Ukraine, (commonly, and erroneously, referred to as Ukraine aid by the right wing). As of this writing the bill’s fate beyond the House is yet to be determined at this point as is Kevin McCarthy’s fate. I’m certain I will have more to say on this in the very near future.

I often wonder who the most un-American member of the House is. I have it narrowed down to 18. Not surprisingly they are all Republicans. They both voted against last week’s proposal of a Republican CR plan that would have included severe cuts to several programs (or what the right wing calls fiscal responsibility.) Earlier this Congress they voted to let the United States default on its debt.

The 18 are:
Andy Biggs, Eli Crane and Paul Gosar of Arizona, Dan Bishop of North Carolina, Ken Buck of Colorado, Tim Burchett and Andy Ogles of Tennessee, Eric Burlison of Missouri, Michael Cloud, Wesley Hunt and Keith Self of Texas, Matt Gaetz and Cory Mills of Florida, Nancy Mace of South Carolina, Mary Miller of Illinois, Alex Mooney of West Virginia, Barry Moore of Alabama, along with Matt Rosendale of Montana.

Note: even Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene weren’t crazy enough to make this “club” although they did vote against the CR bill which was so radical it would have been dead on arrival in the Senate.

America’s most dangerous enemies are already here and some are “serving” in Congress.
