Today’s article will be short. It is primarily an open letter to the voters of Wisconsin. Its impact could well be national in scope. I know, I live in North Carolina where we are just beginning to feel the impact of having lost control of our state supreme court to right wing extremists.

The title of today’s article is indicative of where it will go in another of my vain attempts to cover what I have neglected over the past week or so. Continue reading All Over The Place
Lethal Losers
By the time you read this the American death toll officially attributed to the coronavirus will most likely exceed 90,000. Keep in mind that number is demonstrably too low. A week ago it was 80,000. 36 million Americans have signed up for unemployment benefits in the last eight weeks. If you take metro New York out of the numbers the death toll is rising in America. Yes, It’s That Bad
By the time you read this we will most likely have 80,000 American deaths attributed to the coronavirus (that number is a severe undercount). The American justice system has problems and the current regime is exacerbating them. There has long been a disparity between the prosecution and punishment for white collar and other crimes. It is now to the point that Trump connected or condoned white collar crime goes unpunished. Unemployment is officially at Great Depression levels and increasing. Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate Majority Leader, called his chamber back into session last week not to address any of those problems but to push often unqualified Trump nominees through. Yes, it’s that bad and come along with me as I make another, what will prove to be incomplete, attempt to catchup. Continue reading Yes, It’s That Bad

However, life under Trump is still very taxing and along with one shout out to a group of American patriots I will ramble about that for a few hundred words. Let’s explore.
