I Don’t Know Why, But…

Timestamp: Wednesday morning.

Tuesday night the Republicans again proved that they are simply very bad at governing and they can’t run the House of Representatives. I can’t tell you why that is so. I hate to stereotype, especially across time, but that is the only conclusion I can reach presented with the evidence.

Your Retribution Opportunity

I have to begin this piece with a word of credit and thanks to Steve Brodner who, in his opinion piece of January 2, 2024 in the Washington Post entitled, These politicians denied democracy on Jan. 6. Now they want your vote., did much of my research work. As of this writing there are 147 Republicans who voted not to certify the electoral college results of the 2020 election despite overwhelming evidence to the back up said results and even after they were attacked by domestic terrorists earlier in the day on January 6, 2021. Several have been implicated in complicity in the planning and/or execution of the illegal events of that day. By virtue of this vote, all 147 of them are in my opinion and that of many, many others, at minimum, accessories after the fact.

If They Can Keep It

This article was written well ahead of scheduled publishing in order to accommodate my travel plans.

Today is the Georgia Senate runoff election so almost every political junkie will be talking about the Senate. I’m going to do it too but with a different twist. I want to take my first look at the 2024 Senate races as they stand at the moment. I think that when all the dust settles in the Peach State Raphael Warnock will be returned to the Senate and the Democrats will control the chamber 51-49. In any event the Democrats will have the Senate; the question is if they can keep it. Continue reading If They Can Keep It
