I just added How Democracies Die by Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt to the Recommended Reading List.  The Harvard professors collaborated on this work which outlines how democracies have died in history with a major focus on the 20th and 21st centuries.  The second half of the book concentrates on contemporary America and the treat Trump poses.

Americans collectively are both the enablers of a Trump and the solution to the problem he represents.
