The number one mission of the 118th Republican House Caucus is to make Joe Biden and the Democrats look bad. They really don’t care about what they will perceive as collateral damage. That includes the American and global economies. Harsh assessment? Yes. Brutally accurate? You bet!

Here is my number one priority for the lame duck session and an instruction for President Biden. To Congress: pass legislation abolishing the debt ceiling. To President Biden: sign the bill when it hits your desk.
Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s 1974 hit You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet, written by Canadian Randy Bachman, keeps going through my mind this morning. I’m thinking of Trump and 1/6; certainly not grammar. I base almost all of my writing on fact; today it’s gut.

Today I want to discuss the debt ceiling. I promise it won’t be as nerdy as it sounds. Yellin’ For Yellen
In sports to a large degree a coach is only as good as their players. Politics is similar. Joe Biden is the new “coach” and he has assembled some great talent around him. His Treasury Secretary is Janet Yellen. While the former guy had a Wall Street C-lister with a trophy wife at Treasury; Biden has one of the world’s best economists.
