This item didn’t get the press I thought it deserved. It got some coverage but certainly not of the “above the fold” variety. More concerning than the subject matter itself is that I feel it is part of a larger undemocratic pattern and process. On Tuesday Federal Judge James M. Moody, Jr. struck down the Arkansas law banning transgender care (more specifics below) for people under 18.
One thing is for certain: We do not live in boring times; at least not in politics anyway!

I often ponder which state has the craziest Republicans. To truly determine that I’d have to analyze words and actions right down to the state legislative level and I simply lack sufficient resources to do a credible job of that. Today I want to submit four nominees after reading Catherine Rampell’s op-ed entitled, Red states are now paying people not to get vaccinated, in the Washington Post.
In sports to a large degree a coach is only as good as their players. Politics is similar. Joe Biden is the new “coach” and he has assembled some great talent around him. His Treasury Secretary is Janet Yellen. While the former guy had a Wall Street C-lister with a trophy wife at Treasury; Biden has one of the world’s best economists.
