Like a lot of other liberals I spent a good part of 2017 reading books in an effort to understand how Trump won. Why would anyone from the Rust Belt or Appalachia vote for him when he was such an obvious fraud who was going to do nothing for the white workers who were left behind in this new industrial revolution? This Is The 2016 Republican Party

One of the most important but overlooked things the national convention of a political party does is adopt a platform. That document tells you what a Party and its candidates stand for; what they believe in and why they are asking you to vote for them. Yesterday the Republican National Convention adopted its platform.
