How Overt Does The Attack Have To Be?

81 years ago today the United States experienced a sneak attack on its naval base at Pearl Harbor Hawaii. The next day Congress declared war on the perpetrators. December 7, 1941 wasn’t the last time that the United States was blatantly attacked; but December 8, 1941 was the last time it declared war on the perpetrator of said attack. While I won’t diminish my respect for the rank and file of the Greatest Generation, their leaders weren’t up to the standards of the masses and today it’s even worse. I Almost Feel Sorry For Mitch

I almost feel sorry for Mitch McConnell. Only almost.
Understandably Mitch McConnell wants to be Senate Majority Leader again. Going into the 2022 election and needing to only net one seat you can see why he felt that could happen. (Here is the scary part: it still may.) Had the GOP recruited and gotten their number one draft choices through the primaries it would be all but a lock. That is not what it looks like less than a month from Election Day.

Not So Hidden Evil

By this weekend I expect the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 will have passed the House and been signed into law. On right wing media a plethora of disinformation will be disseminated telling us that the sky is falling because the Democrats spent too much money. In mainstream and left leaning media the message will be that the legislation will solve many of our problems. As usual, one portrayal will be much, much closer to reality. Today I want to bring light to a somewhat lost “battle within the battle”.
