Donald Trump is a con man. He is preying upon the most desperate among us. He is like the immoral teenage boy in his daddy’s car on a Friday night with a pretty girl; he will promise anything (with no intent to deliver) in order to get what he wants at that moment. A Win For Now

As the weekend was coming to a close I was mentally budgeting time and space for this week’s articles. Suddenly a newsflash came across that changed a lot of planning and, at least temporarily, for the positive. Sunday the Army Corps of Engineers announced it was declining the request for an easement to build part of the Dakota Access Pipeline under Lake Oahe which is part of the Missouri River system. The Endorsement Of John McNeil

I met John McNeil this past January as he was just beginning his run for the House of Representatives. At that point it was in North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District. Due to a subsequent court ruling that the Republicans in Raleigh had unconstitutionally redrawn the districts in 2011 he and I now find ourselves in North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District. Long story short: John won his primary and ends up facing Republican incumbent “Sleeping” George Holding in the general election anyway.   Continue reading The Endorsement Of John McNeil
