People Behaving Badly

Tuesday morning was one of many where I did not know what I would write about when I woke up. As I was reading the morning papers online, knowing that my next task was to write, the news flash came across that Max Cleland had died and my agenda was set. I had several notes about incidents of bad conduct by elected Republicans and this just anchored the article in my mind. Continue reading People Behaving Badly

Plenty Of Blame To Go Around But It Is Skewed

It is Friday afternoon as I pen this. I needed to disclose that on two accounts. As expected, despite Mike Lindell’s proclamations to the contrary, Donald Trump was not returned to the Oval Office on Friday morning. (Who said Friday the Thirteenth was bad?) World Series Cleanup?

Today’s is the last “live blog” I will post for a few days. It is also the day (or evening to be more accurate) of the sixth and possibly deciding game of the World Series. The current occupant of the White House basically mailed it in. I feel old because I can still remember when American presidents regardless of Party we leaders. Let’s explore. Trump Said Nothing Of Substance That Wasn’t Dangerous

Monday night I settled in front of the television just before 9pm to hear President Trump address the nation from Ft. Myer in Arlington, Virginia about his plans for handling the nearly 16 year-old conflict in Afghanistan. (Early in his speech he referred to it as a 17 year-old war. He must have been using Paul Ryan arithmetic. 17-1=16 where I went to school; I’m giving him the rounding errors.) In my mind it was worse than a 25 minute nothingburger; the tiny bit of substance that it contained was mind bogglingly dangerous. Let’s explore.       Continue reading Trump Said Nothing Of Substance That Wasn’t Dangerous
