Wow. What A Week!

Time stamp: Saturday morning

Traditionally the subject of my Sunday article is the biggest political story of the week just ended. Last week was jam packed and a time stamp was necessary because some of the events are dynamic. The chaos of the Bare Naked Ladies’ hit , One Week, is going through my mind. I’ll never achieve the level of their lyrics, a generation will not memorize my words, but hold on, here we go.

He Is Special

Love him or hate him you have to admit that Donald Trump is one of those rare special politicians. JFK and Barack Obama were special in that they defied my pet theory of the American voter: they vote against, not for, candidates. Kennedy and Obama were rare exceptions to that rule. Trump is the most unique exception in that people both vote for him and against him regardless of the opponent(s).

An Old Baseball Adage Comes To Mind

There is an old adage in baseball that says, sometimes the best trade is the one you don’t make. With the annual trading deadline rapidly approaching and considering the political news of last week along with just a tad of poetic license that I used, I selected my biggest story of the week just ended. Donald Trump is a crook. Rudy Giuliani is a liar. Neither of those is exactly a surprise. The UPS strike being averted has the potential to have a huge impact on America’s future.
