The latest number for weekly unemployment claims came out on Wednesday, November 24th. I didn’t want something this important to get lost in the shuffle of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Omicron. It’s a big deal for the working class.

Like a lot of other liberals I spent a good part of 2017 reading books in an effort to understand how Trump won. Why would anyone from the Rust Belt or Appalachia vote for him when he was such an obvious fraud who was going to do nothing for the white workers who were left behind in this new industrial revolution?
