Today what most Americans consider the real start of the impeachment trial of Donald John Trump, President of the United States will begin in the Senate. With that in mind I’d like to take a look at the rival legal teams. Let’s explore. Continue reading The Lawyers

The Trump Infrastructure Program
The following is not a comment on a real program. It is simply me taking a lot of President Trump’s actions and motivations to creating a fantasy – one that isn’t all that farfetched.
I came up with a list of 47 people associated with Trump who are certainly candidates for federal prison. Some have already served their time or are currently serving time; several are awaiting sentencing and still more are currently under indictment. I’m certain I missed some candidates and there are still more who I am simply not aware of at this writing. The number is also much higher than 47 but to fit my scenario only American males could reasonably be counted. Continue reading The Trump Infrastructure Program
Round Two Commences
There have been multiple reports of the Mueller probe wrapping up and submitting a report to the Attorney General. That will happen someday but I don’t know exactly when. Regardless of what happens soon after that it is far from the end of Russiagate. In fact it will just be the end of Round One. Round Two commenced in earnest this week with the House Intelligence Committee’s requests for information from 81 persons and entities. Even this is just phase one of Round Two; expect more people and entities to receive request letters. There is a lot to explore here so let’s do so together for a bit. Continue reading Round Two Commences
Denials, Deceptions And Derelictions Of Duty
It seems a basic Republican MO has emerged under the reign of Trump. It is: deny and/or lie; then don’t do your job anyway. The examples day back more than a few years but they are much more frequent now; in fact they occur so frequently the news media can’t possibly cover them all. What once would have been a scandal that would have dominated the news for weeks if not months has to fight for coverage. A few examples of the denials, lies and plain refusing to do the job they were elected to by Republican office holders occurred recently. Let’s explore. Continue reading Denials, Deceptions And Derelictions Of Duty
Justifiable Treason? No Resign!
Trump has no reasonable legal defense against the mounting evidence of his crimes. Should, as expected, the Democrats take back the House in November his only hope is the court of public opinion influencing the Senate not to convict him in an impeachment proceeding. (Should he go before a court of law it is another matter entirely.) In my opinion his strategy has a slim chance of success, but when you are down seven with seconds to go you throw the Hail Mary. Let’s explore. Continue reading Justifiable Treason? No Resign!
