On Earth Day 2019

Today is Earth Day (and Dyngus Day for my readers in Poland along with all those who like me are ethnically Polish). One of the few regrets I have about leaving Buffalo is that Dyngus Day isn’t celebrated anywhere else I have lived. The only regret I have about working for President Obama’s 2012 campaign is that I passed up the opportunity to work with a group of graduate students and learn more about the environment. For the record I am celebrating Earth Day by attending a lecture this evening. Before that I’d like to share some thoughts on climate change with you. Let’s explore. Yet on Tuesday President Trump visited Texas purportedly to tour the damage Hurricane Harvey had inflicted on the Lone Star State and bring aid with him. Instead he turned it into an infomercial to sell a hat. The constraints of time and space will not allow me to review everything he did wrong. Nonetheless I invite you along to explore with me.     Continue reading It’s All About The Hat

While I Was “Gone”

I’m back. This is my first “live” blog in about two weeks. A lot happens in politics during that duration in normal times and in the midst of arguably the most unusual American presidential campaign in history that is magnified. It is impossible for me to cover everything that happened in under 1,000 words so I’ll take brief a look a few things. Come along. Continue reading While I Was “Gone”
