Sadly It Will Get Worse Before The Holiday
Independence Day is my favorite holiday. This is the last article I will write or publish before it this year. There will be a lag of less than 24 hours between it being written and publishing and one of several days between now and the holiday. Today’s is one of my “catch up” articles. The Trump presidency has shown me the inadequacies of my talents. The only way to cover this administration in anything resembling a comprehensive manner would be to write a book a week. Trump Is Rigging The System
Donald Trump spent considerable time during the 2016 campaign complaining that the electoral system was rigged. At one point he said he would only accept the results if he won. In retrospect that appears to have been his Plan A which would have resulted in Trump TV. On an almost daily basis as Russiagate unfolds it becomes more apparent that to some degree he illegally manipulated it in his favor. The Empire (State) Strikes Back
I was born, educated and lived the first 47 years of my life in New York State so I guess I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for it. (That still doesn’t negate the fact that I don’t miss the snow.) Recently its rising political star Attorney General Eric Schneiderman was forced out in a matter of hours when he was exposed in a scandal. The speed with which he resigned makes me believe there was a lot of fire behind that smoke and that somebody who was politically motivated let the cat out of the bag.
