It is late Friday morning as I commence to pen this. That is important in both relation to the title and the fact that some of the subjects of my comments are dynamic in nature. If you want to display your ignorance of contemporary American politics all you have to do is say something along the line of all politicians are the same. That is uttered everyday and is a major reason America often finds itself on the wrong track. The events of the last 24 hours are a crystal-clear illustration of that!
On St. Patrick’s Day 2020 I went to see my Primary Care Provider for a routine check up. When I came home I went into self-imposed home confinement for several months in reaction to the pandemic. Early this morning I’m seeing Cathy again and when I return my self imposed out of prudence restrictions will be nowhere near as strict but I’m certainly not foolish enough to sound the all clear. I was contemplating what to write Monday morning when a news bulletin came across that the FDA had granted full approval to the Pfizer vaccine. My plans and thoughts instantly changed.
Mid-afternoon on Tuesday President Biden addressed the press and the nation giving a progress report/next phase action plan on the pandemic. It was worth paying attention to and certainly worth my comments today.
