Coronagate

Without a doubt the biggest political story in America last week was the conoravirus. It is a developing scandal which I am choosing to call Coronagate. Ever since Watergate we have called major American political scandals something gate. The Trump administration has been one continuous series of scandals the two biggest being Russiagate and Ukrainegate. Russiagate included the Mueller investigation and Ukrainegate included the impeachment of Donald Trump. The Danger Of Willful Ignorance And Incompetence

Ignorance is excusable and a fact of life. It is impossible to know everything. A personal example is that as I entered what I call Phase II of my retirement late last month I joined a classics book club which I will attend my first meeting of later this week. Reading the classics was a gap in my education and I’m trying to plug it a bit. Willful ignorance is not knowing on purpose and acting as if you did. Thursday I received an e-mail from Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren – well probably me and thousands of other people. I’m glad I did. I always like to hear from Warren. She is exceptionally intelligent; I respect her opinion and love her input. In this particular instance she reminded me of a Republican transgression that had gotten lost in the shuffle.
