The title of this article comes from a story two of my female friends told me many years ago and with poetic license I am “adapting” it so that the “him” is President Trump. Let’s explore as I stretch the PG rating ever so slightly. Continue reading Give Him The Clap

My President Displayed A Huge Character Flaw!
Trump’s Muslim Ban had consistently lost in the courts until the Supreme Court recently rendered what was effectively a partial stay. I refrained from comment on the Court’s decision because it was very limited and the final ruling is still very much in doubt. (If logic is followed the “stay” and elapsing of time negates the administration’s case.) The Trump administration appears to have violated the terms of that partial stay. That too will be litigated; in fact suits have already been filed. This was a policy that illustrated Trump’s values and in my opinion a despicable character flaw. Let’s explore. A Different Bar
A few minutes before 9pm last Tuesday night I settled in front of one of several flat screen color televisions in my new townhouse in Wake Forest, North Carolina to watch President Obama’s farewell address to the nation. My thoughts were on what I consider the benchmark Presidential farewell address which I watch some 56 years earlier as a very young boy in front of my parents’ lone black and white television in their Cheektowaga, New York home. Could Barack Obama get over the extremely high bar set by Dwight Eisenhower? Let’s explore. Continue reading A Different Bar
