Joe Biden is unpopular even with many who voted for him in 2020. Much of this is understandable when you consider that the average American really doesn’t have much of a background in civics and certainly lacks the time and too often the interest to follow politics closely. Most voters can tell you the name of the starting quarterback of their favorite NFL team and his backup but not the names of their state representative, state senator, state Attorney General or state Secretary of State.

Donald Trump became President of the United States as the result of what increasingly looks like a purloined election in which he failed to gain the support of the majority of the American electorate. I’m not making excuses for Hillary Clinton. It never should have been that close; she should have beaten him going away. The Fear/Hate Of Different

Today’s is going to be a more reflective and abstract article than most. The other day I was reading about how Franklin Delano Roosevelt thought about how Abraham Lincoln would handle a situation when deciding what to do. I thought how strange considering the 70 odd years that separated their times in the White House. Then I remembered that Harry Truman is one of my political models. Trump’s Hollow Words

On the afternoon of January 20, 2017 Donald Trump took the oath of office of the Presidency of the United States of America. Those words were his first lies in office and it hasn’t improved since. The oath reads in part, “…defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same…” In the following paragraphs I will cite several occasions where Trump has failed.
