If you measure the biggest political story of the week just ended by coverage it was undoubtedly the mass shootings/gun story. I won’t cite numbers in this article because it is being penned on Saturday morning and at the rate we are going there will be at least one more mass shooting before publishing.

The title of today’s article tells my personal story of the last several days. It all started when the news broke of another mass shooting in a school this time an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

There are a lot of people in a tizzy, and rightfully so, over the handling of Haitian refugees at the southern border. I’m not going to go into that situation today other than to use it to illustrate how ill prepared the world is for a coming much larger migrant problem.
