We all know the adage about counting chickens when they are still eggs. That is how I’m operating on Build Back Better 2.0; better known as the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.

Little Coverage; Big Deal!
Days of the week seem to mean nothing to my writing lately. The theme of Sunday’s article is usually the biggest American political story of the week just ended. This week it was the biggest outrage and in fact became a two-parter continuing into Monday. That Monday happened to be a national holiday and the appropriate theme ended up being discarded. Today is Tuesday and I’m finally getting around to the biggest American political story of the preceding week. To further complicate things you can make a case that none of it was actually political and much of it didn’t even happen in North America let alone the United States. My set up may be confusing but I assure you the article is worth reading; please do.

Enduring Damage And a Slogan
While America is legally and officially a secular nation (something the “patriots” that took over the Republican Party fail to comprehend) it is, by practice, largely a Christian nation. One of the basic beliefs (and great marketing tools) of Christianity is forgiveness. In that spirit America will need to ask the world for a lot of forgiveness for what we have done during the Trump administration and we saw another example of that this week. The only thing I have to offer in “exchange” is a suggested Democratic slogan for the 2020 presidential campaign; hardly a good trade. With all that in mind; let’s explore.
