Days of the week seem to mean nothing to my writing lately. The theme of Sunday’s article is usually the biggest American political story of the week just ended. This week it was the biggest outrage and in fact became a two-parter continuing into Monday. That Monday happened to be a national holiday and the appropriate theme ended up being discarded. Today is Tuesday and I’m finally getting around to the biggest American political story of the preceding week. To further complicate things you can make a case that none of it was actually political and much of it didn’t even happen in North America let alone the United States. My set up may be confusing but I assure you the article is worth reading; please do.
Sometimes it seems like the Trump administration is one big joke. I simply cannot cover all the stories worthy of coverage. It’s like a bunch of guys sitting in a bar swapping jokes. After a bit every joke is prefaced by the phrase “Did you hear the one about…?” Let’s explore. Continue reading Did You Hear The One About …?

While America is legally and officially a secular nation (something the “patriots” that took over the Republican Party fail to comprehend) it is, by practice, largely a Christian nation. One of the basic beliefs (and great marketing tools) of Christianity is forgiveness. In that spirit America will need to ask the world for a lot of forgiveness for what we have done during the Trump administration and we saw another example of that this week. The only thing I have to offer in “exchange” is a suggested Democratic slogan for the 2020 presidential campaign; hardly a good trade. With all that in mind; let’s explore. Continue reading Enduring Damage And a Slogan
Today’s is another one of those catch up articles that I seem to write several times a month. The most challenging aspect of writing this blog is deciding what items not to cover; there is simply too much material. The second most difficult may well be what to title so many articles with the same theme. With that in mind let’s explore the past fortnight or so. Continue reading In Case You Haven’t Heard
