Wow. What A Week!

Time stamp: Saturday morning

Traditionally the subject of my Sunday article is the biggest political story of the week just ended. Last week was jam packed and a time stamp was necessary because some of the events are dynamic. The chaos of the Bare Naked Ladies’ hit , One Week, is going through my mind. I’ll never achieve the level of their lyrics, a generation will not memorize my words, but hold on, here we go.

The Democrats’ Hot Stove League

This article was written well ahead of scheduled publishing in order to accommodate my travel plans.

Maybe I’m just too caught up in baseball’s off season moves, but I can’t help but think of “the bench”. Today I’d like to briefly look at the Democrat’s “national bench”. I’m among the people who thinks the Democrats need a youth movement, therefore I’m just looking at people who will be at least 35 (the Constitutional minimum age for president) but less than 60 on Election Day 2024.

I often ponder which state has the craziest Republicans. To truly determine that I’d have to analyze words and actions right down to the state legislative level and I simply lack sufficient resources to do a credible job of that. Today I want to submit four nominees after reading Catherine Rampell’s op-ed entitled, Red states are now paying people not to get vaccinated, in the Washington Post.
