Thanks Dick And Al

As much as I want to stop writing about Trump I can’t. He remains a threat to America and global democracy. Today I will stay within my lifetime and political awareness but still illustrate just how un-American he is. Continue reading Thanks Dick And Al

My President Is A Fool And Other Observations

I’m still mired in last week. I’ll cover at least some of my obsessions in this article. I’ve never thought much of President Trump’s intelligence. I certainly don’t think he is a genius or very stable for that matter. Last week he outdid himself to prove me correct. Let’s explore. Continue reading My President Is A Fool And Other Observations

Things Look Good. That Scares Me!

Today I’d like to take a look ahead to the 2020 elections. 34 Senate seats, all 435 House seats and the presidency are all up. At this distant point it looks very good for the Democrats and by extension progressive causes. It almost looks too good and that is what concerns me. Living In A Faster America

I’m well into my sixth decade of life in America. Unlike some of my contemporaries I don’t long for the good old days because I realize they weren’t really all that good. Simply put America is a great country! In the old days when we saw something that surprised us we would usually sum up the experience with words along the lines of: If you live long enough you will see everything. Today things seem to be moving faster and perhaps the new “axiom” is: If you live long enough you will see everything twice. Let’s explore.       Continue reading Living In A Faster America

My President Is Pitifully Incompetent

No person has every talent necessary to run something as large and complex as the American federal government. Knowing your weaknesses and getting people on your staff that can plug those holes is a large part of being a competent manager. The technological advances that have come with the passage of time only exacerbated that challenge. President Trump and I are close in age and have a very similar education from world class management schools. When we were in school the laptop computer didn’t exist. As President he has the entire federal bureaucracy at his disposal. A competent manger would use that to his advantage. Donald Trump is incompetent. Let’s explore.       Continue reading My President Is Pitifully Incompetent
