I just added Harvest the Vote: How Democrats Can Win Again In Rural America by: Jane Kleeb to the Recommended Reading List. I’m late to the dance with this one which was published in January of 2020.
This is a must read for political operatives and those who allocate campaign/political resources!
Go beyond the sub-title and the real value of Kleeb’s work shines through. Listening is the number one skill of a field operator or candidate can have. Instead of getting into an (unproductive) confrontation find the common ground.
From a national level Kleeb espouses one of the principle I have advocated for years: the national party needs to invest in state and local parties.
My only regret in reading this book is that it spent so long on my “book wish list”.
