Fast and furious; that is how the political news keeps coming in. Today I’ll try and briefly comment on some of it.
A woman’s right to choose – and I do firmly believe it is her right! – is debated widely in America and, if properly utilized by Democratic candidates, will be a huge factor in 2024. I’d like to give you just a few of my thoughts on the topic today.
Love him or hate him you have to admit that Donald Trump is one of those rare special politicians. JFK and Barack Obama were special in that they defied my pet theory of the American voter: they vote against, not for, candidates. Kennedy and Obama were rare exceptions to that rule. Trump is the most unique exception in that people both vote for him and against him regardless of the opponent(s).
Timestamp: Saturday afternoon.
I included a timestamp because this is a dynamic situation, or at least I hope it is! I am calling on New Jersey Democratic Senator Robert Menendez to resign. There you have it plain and clear, up front.
Date stamp: Very early Friday afternoon.
The date stamp may seem in conflict with the title but I wanted to cover myself, just in case, however I sincerely don’t think it will prove necessary. As September ends the federal government will shut down. At this point it appears to be as unavoidable as it is preventable and that is a very, very sad state of affairs indeed!
