Abject Failure – Part Three
Donald Trump has not had the worst first 100 days of any American President; that dubious distinction belongs to William Henry Harrison who died on his 31st day in office as a result of getting ill during a long inauguration speech and almost immediately going to bed. Trump inauguration speech was a dark vision of America but at least he didn’t catch phenomena. By all appearances Trump will last the 100 days which was not a sure thing earlier on. Much has been made of President Trump’s first 100 days in office which won’t officially end until this Saturday. I decided to review them a bit ahead of time which will entail a few predictions. Today’s article is part one and it will be followed by parts two and three on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. All the articles will be written a day or days prior to publishing. Friends Of Veterans?
I have never worn the uniform of my country’s military and at my age never will. I have almost never agreed with the missions they have been sent on in my lifetime. That being said I have respect for the service of our military personnel and feel safer going to sleep each night knowing they are guarding over my country. While we can’t give our veterans a blank check for the rest of their lives I feel we are not doing enough for most of them and certainly don’t begrudge them the benefits they are receiving. Despite their rhetoric, I can’t say the Republicans have that same respect. A distasteful example of that largely flew under the radar last week and today I’d like to expose it. Let’s explore.
