I don’t know if Alabama is our most backward state, but it is certainly in the discussion. Interestingly, like Alabama, all of the others are red states and most are in the South. To a great degree that is by design and it certainly affects voting. Juxtaposition this with Alabama’s current Senate race and you have the basis of today’s article. Let’s explore. Polarization is a huge problem in contemporary American politics. If you use a Venn diagram to illustrate the positions of the right and left in this country one of the few places the circles would overlap is the respect for veterans, particularly those who gave their life in the line of duty. I have never worn the uniform of this country and have disagreed with almost every military action my country has taken in my lifetime. That in no way diminishes my respect for veterans. It really isn’t fair to evaluate eight schools on the basis of two alums. All that being said the current occupant of the Oval Office is not very bright. Therefore today’s title reminding Trump that there is no other planet on which human life is sustainable and we can transport ourselves to. Earth is it. There is no Planet B; (where have we read that before?) With all that in mind let’s explore what happened in the Rose Garden Thursday afternoon. Continue reading You Can’t Exit Earth
