I’m old enough to remember when African-Americans were totally shut out of most governmental and business decision making bodies. Back then the initial objective was literally a seat at the table. They realized that they needed to be in the mix before they could make an impact; but that if they weren’t represented they weren’t even in the discussion. The other day I had another youthful flashback caused by American politics. Since 9/11 we talk about connecting the dots to find the answers we seek. Every day we are presented with multiple dots that don’t bode well for the Trump administration. With a little poetic license I will call them polka dots.
