While We Were Distracted Again

Progressives like me tend to say that Trump and the Republicans are not accomplishing anything. I think we need to modify that statement by adding the word “constructive” at the end. Much of what they are “accomplishing” is being done in a semi-news blackout because antics, scandals and other news are dominating coverage. Trump’s Hollow Words

On the afternoon of January 20, 2017 Donald Trump took the oath of office of the Presidency of the United States of America. Those words were his first lies in office and it hasn’t improved since. I don’t exactly know just what is burning yet but with this much smoke I know there has to be a hell of a fire. How will Trump defend against that? His entire strategy will be summed up in two words: fake news. Let’s explore. Continue reading No Opinion Required

The Don’s Values

“Don’t tell me your value, show me your budget, and I’ll tell you what you value.” That quote comes from Joe Biden. I have used it several times in the past in my writing because it is so true. The Trump administration is about to officially send its budget request to Capitol Hill. Keep Amtrak Joe’s words of profound wisdom in mind as we explore together. Continue reading The Don’s Values
