Today is the first work day after the Memorial Day holiday. While he was busy embracing autocrats, insulting allies and generally embarrassing America in the Middle East and Europe Russiagate got a lot more serious for Donald Trump. He began to lawyer up and is supposedly instituting a “War Room” in the White House to handle what he calls the “Russia thing”. I don’t exactly know just what is burning yet but with this much smoke I know there has to be a hell of a fire. How will Trump defend against that? Trump Is Going To Destroy The GOP (Just Not The Way We Thought)

Across the political spectrum many Americans felt that the nomination of Donald Trump would destroy the Republican Party. Most of us theorized that Trump would go down in flames at the polls in November and drag a lot of Republican candidates for other offices along with him. To say we were wrong turned out to be an understatement! Trump ended up doing just well enough to squeak out an Electoral College win, the Republicans defied conventional wisdom and retained the Senate along with a sizeable majority in the House. They also found themselves in the strongest position in State capitals since the eve of the Great Depression. In well less than 100 days of total Washington dominance the GOP has been exposed as a building on a shaky foundation and Earthquake Trump started the ground beneath it in motion. My President Is Pitifully Incompetent

No person has every talent necessary to run something as large and complex as the American federal government. Knowing your weaknesses and getting people on your staff that can plug those holes is a large part of being a competent manager. The technological advances that have come with the passage of time only exacerbated that challenge. President Trump and I are close in age and have a very similar education from world class management schools. When we were in school the laptop computer didn’t exist. As President he has the entire federal bureaucracy at his disposal. A competent manger would use that to his advantage. Donald Trump is incompetent.
