America only has one President at a time. Currently that is Donald Trump. I don’t have to like that fact, but the only rational choice is to accept it. Trump is incredibly bad at his job! I could spend the following paragraphs detailing a plethora of examples. Instead I’m going to use one that came to my attention the other day. You will probably be a shocked as I was. Trump’s incompetence is actually worse than I thought. Let’s explore. Continue reading My President Is Very Bad At His Job
I just finished reading the third in a series of books meant to challenge my liberal beliefs and more importantly understand what motivated Donald Trump voters. Somewhere in the near future all three of them will reach the Recommended Reading list. I’m still as liberal as ever. However the books, coupled with my upbringing in the Rust Belt, made me pause just a bit and understand how people could end up voting for Trump. I know they made a disastrous decision which was neither in their best interest nor America’s. Understanding doesn’t necessitate agreement. Let’s explore. Continue reading A Path Forward – Part Four
Perhaps the fact that I have lived in North Carolina for the past several years magnifies the problem in my mind but before you vote I want you to consider where the two parties’ priorities are. Let’s explore. Continue reading An Examination Of Priorities
In yesterday’s posting I correctly criticized Donald Trump’s economic advisory team for being glaringly weak and almost devoid of knowledge in certain economic areas. Monday he gave what his campaign billed as a major economic address to the Detroit Economic Club. During it he made a grandiose announcement that his daughter Ivanka Trump was supplementing the team and helping helped him put his plan together. Ivanka Trump? That makes me feel better; no it doesn’t! Continue reading Ivanka?
Today we celebrate the 240th anniversary of America’s independence. The holiday is formally called Independence Day but I, like most Americans, think of it as the Fourth of July. As a little boy I loved to play baseball and the Fourth of July has always been my favorite holiday because it was the one that almost always brought baseball weather with it to Western New York. Appropriately my first date with my wife was on the Fourth of July. It was a good holiday for an older version of Larry too! Continue reading Donald The Patriot?
