Rated R – Hobby Lobby

Often when I research a story it is like pealing back the layers of an onion and other stories result. This is one of those cases. I have to admit I had never heard of Hobby Lobby until last week when the Supreme Court agreed to hear Sebelius v Hobby Lobby. To the extent that I have influence over my readers’ spending, its founder and C.E.O. David Green will wish I never had. Continue reading Rated R – Hobby Lobby

Rated R – Brandywine Funds

One of the latest names to burst on to the political scene is Foster Friess. He is the chief financial backer of Rick Santorum’s campaign. I actually accept much of the conservative argument that tobacco is a legal product in our society and Americans should have the freedom of choice to decided whether they partake of it or not. In the spirits of full disclosure, I am an ex-smoker who quit back in the late 1970’s. Continue reading Rated R – Reynolds American

Rated R – Koch Industries

If I have to explain why Koch Industries’ products are being placed on the restricted list then you simply haven’t been paying attention. This is a classic example of why progressives should not spend money with an organization. The Koch brothers are the largest financiers of the radical right wing.
